Etsy Made in Canada is one of the largest handmade shows around. If you like handmade items as much as I do, this is a show you cannot miss! This is my second year participating in the show so I thought I would do a spotlight on my favorite booths! Of course we will also be there, right when you get inside the door on the left. So be sure to stop by and say hi….and yes I will have both Pomegranate and Pumpkin Spice Body Butter. We sold out of both last year so I am bringing a lot, but it is best to get there early to make sure you are not disappointed! The show runs from 10-4 pm Saturday and Sunday at the Bell Sensplex in Kanata. Here are my Top 5 booths to stop at this weekend for moms and babies! It is hard to keep it to 5 so I will also have some honorable mentions at the end.
Top 5 Booths to Stop By At Etsy Made In Canada
- Baby Retredz- I first met Karen at the Ottawa Farmer’s Market 3 years ago. She makes soft soled leather shoes for babies and children. Let me tell you that people LOVE them. She has quite a following, and I have never heard so many moms rave about the quality of their baby’s shoes!
- Mini Geeks- I was first introduced to their products last year at the Etsy Show when my booth mate Jennifer bought all of them! Katy makes adorable baby/child yoga pants, T-shirts, bibs and more. Think Super Hero, Star Trek, Video Games and that sets the theme for the clothing. I have heard she has received many requests to make adult clothing as well!
- Tricycle Mini- Their bows and headwraps are some of the cutest I have ever seen! The perfect accessory to your baby’s outfit!
- Thomas Woodcrafts- His adult items are great too, but I am picking this vendor for his wide variety of wooden toys! Wooden toys are a great alternative to plastic for little ones, especially if they are going to be chewing on them. - Bite Me Baby Chew Jewels- Chewelry is super popular right now and they do it right! 100% toxin free jewelry that mom wears and bay chews on. It's win win!
Honorable Mentions (Only Because They Don't Make Products For Babies)
- Strut- Alyssa’s jewelry is AMAZING in both quality and design. I have been continuously impressed with her work since first meeting at the Ottawa Farmer’s Market 3 years ago. I am generally wearing a Strut piece on any given day. Although she doesn’t fit into the mom and baby category, I am giving her an honorable mention as she has some great gift ideas for moms! My current favorite is the Gold-fill + Silver Fusion Hammered Circle Necklace
- Blondie Apparel- We first met at the Ottawa Baby Show and have been running into each other at shows ever since. I bought one of Michelle’s Cross Front Sweaters and love it! It can also double as a nursing shirt. From Blondie Apparels line up my favs are the Poncho Scarf and the East End Sweater.
